Jinja Business Development Center

According to GEM (Global Entrepreneurial Monitor), Uganda was ranked as the world’s most entrepreneurial country in 2014. The problem is that most of these businesses fail within the first few years of operation due to a lack of entrepreneurship training.

At the Jinja Business Development Center, we aim to reverse this trend by providing business training and mentorship. We provide basic business training with topics including: bookkeeping, management, communication, professionalism, sales, marketing, merchandising, finance, cash flow, human resources, business taxed, developing a business plan and hiring. We aim to equip our business owners with a basic business skill-set so their business can be successful.

Upon completion of our program, we continue a mentoring relationship with our graduates and invite them to a bi-weekly business club where we work through any struggles they encounter in their business and encourage them to success.
